To reach the Cape York Tip (Pajinka), you will need a 4WD vehicle due to the rough terrain. Start your journey from the nearest major town, either Weipa or Cooktown. If you are starting from Weipa, head north on the Peninsula Development Road (PDR). After approximately 200 km, you will reach the junction with the Jardine River ferry. Take the ferry across the river (there is a fee for the ferry, around AUD 10 per vehicle). After crossing, continue north on the PDR for about 60 km until you reach the turnoff to the tip, marked by signage. Follow the signs for about 30 km on a dirt road, and you will arrive at Pajinka, the tip of Australia. Make sure to check road conditions before your trip, as some sections may be closed during the wet season.
