    From Hornsby Station, take the 595 bus towards Berowra. Alight at Arthurs Circle after Merlin Close, which is approximately a 25-minute journey. From there, it's a short walk to various entry points of the park. A single adult Opal card fare is around $3.50.

    From Hornsby, take the Pacific Highway north. Turn left onto Berowra Waters Road, then left again onto Barnetts Road. The Barnetts Road carpark provides access to the park. Parking is free. Note that Barnetts Road Reserve and the lookout are closed from sunset to sunrise.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    From Hornsby Heights, a taxi or ride-share to the park's entry points will take approximately 10-15 minutes, costing around $20-$30. Note that prices may vary depending on the time of day and demand.

Berowra Valley National Park, a 3,884-hectare (9,600-acre) protected area, is located approximately 20 kilometers (12 mi) north-west of Sydney's central business district. The park occupies the bushland valley between Hornsby Heights, Thornleigh, Galston, Pennant Hills, and Cherrybrook, extending to Berowra Creek.The park's history dates back to 1964 when part of it was reserved as Elouera Bushland Natural Park. In 1987, additional lands were acquired, and it was gazetted as a reserve for public recreation and the preservation of native flora and fauna. Further expansion led to its designation as Berowra Valley Regional Park in 1998, and finally, as a national park in September 2012.The park is part of the dissected Hornsby Plateau, dominated by Hawkesbury Sandstone and covering the catchment area of Berowra Creek. It features a 25-kilometer (16 mi) stretch of the Great North Walk, offering panoramic views, waterways for boating and paddling, and diverse wildlife, including Grey-headed flying foxes, Kookaburras, and Swamp wallabies. Visitors can explore over 70km of walking tracks and fire trails. Popular activities include bushwalking, picnicking at Crosslands Reserve, and enjoying the views from Barnetts lookout.Berowra Valley National Park provides a natural sanctuary with significant recreational and conservation value.
