Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the Snowy Mountains Highway (B72) from your current location in the Central Highlands. Follow the Snowy Mountains Highway towards Tumut for approximately 90 km. Once you reach Tumut, continue on the Snowy Mountains Highway for another 32 km until you see signs for Yarrangobilly. Turn left onto the Yarrangobilly Road and follow it for about 7 km until you reach the Thermal Pool car park. The total driving time should be around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest major town, such as Tumut. Check the local transport schedules for the Tumut to Yarrangobilly route, as there may be limited services available. Once you arrive at the Yarrangobilly stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the Thermal Pool. Ensure you check the bus times in advance, as they may not run frequently.
Walking from Car Park
If you arrive by car, park at the designated Thermal Pool car park. From there, follow the clearly marked walking track that leads to Yarrangobilly Caves Thermal Pool. The walk is approximately 500 meters and takes around 10-15 minutes. The path is well-maintained and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
