Car
If you are driving from Melbourne, take the Western Freeway (M8) and merge onto the Calder Freeway (M79) towards Bendigo. After approximately 45 km, take the exit towards Mount Macedon/Wallan (exit 10). Follow the signs to Mount Macedon. Once you reach the town, follow Mount Macedon Road which leads directly to the Memorial Cross. There is a parking area near the base of the cross.
Public Transport
From Melbourne, you can take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station to Woodend Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once at Woodend, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Mount Macedon Memorial Cross, which is approximately a 15-minute drive away. Alternatively, check local bus services from Woodend to Mount Macedon, but services may be limited.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity and prefer to walk, there are designated walking trails from the town of Mount Macedon to the Memorial Cross. However, the hike is steep and can take approximately 1 hour depending on your fitness level. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water.
