If you're driving from the Daintree Rainforest area, start by heading south on the Mossman-Daintree Road. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Captain Cook Highway (State Route 44). Turn right onto Captain Cook Highway. Follow Captain Cook Highway for approximately 30 kilometers, enjoying the scenic coastal views. Look for the sign for Thala Beach Nature Reserve on your right at 5078 Captain Cook Hwy, Oak Beach. Turn into the driveway leading to the resort.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from the Daintree Rainforest area to Port Douglas. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once in Port Douglas, transfer to the local shuttle service that connects you to various attractions along the Captain Cook Highway. Request a stop at Thala Beach Nature Reserve, located at 5078 Captain Cook Hwy, Oak Beach. The shuttle will drop you off at the entrance of the reserve.
