Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Darling Downs. Head southwest on the Warrego Highway (A2) towards Toowoomba. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the exit for Gormans Gap Road. Take the exit and turn left onto Gormans Gap Road. Follow Gormans Gap Road for about 5 kilometers, and Archer's Slide will be on your right. There is no entry fee for this area, but ensure your vehicle has enough fuel for the round trip.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from the Toowoomba Bus Interchange to Preston. Check the local bus schedule for routes heading towards Preston. Once you arrive at Preston, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to reach Archer's Slide. Follow Gormans Gap Road heading south, and you will find Archer's Slide on your right. Be sure to check the bus return schedule to plan your trip accordingly.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can ride from the center of Darling Downs. Take the Warrego Highway (A2) south towards Toowoomba and then follow the same route to Gormans Gap Road. The total distance is roughly 35 kilometers from the center, so make sure you have enough stamina and water for the trip. The roads are generally safe for cycling, but be cautious of traffic.
