From within East Point Reserve, Lake Alexander is easily accessible on foot. Follow the signs from the Darwin Military Museum or Dudley Point. The lake is located near the main carpark and regional playground. There are no entrance fees or tolls to access the lake.
Public Transport
From Darwin City, take a bus towards East Point. Disembark at the bus stop on East Point Road, near the Cool Spot Cafe. From there, it's a short walk into East Point Reserve to Lake Alexander. A single bus fare within Darwin typically costs around $3.
Driving
From Darwin City, follow East Point Road to East Point Reserve. Continue along Alec Fong Lim Drive inside the reserve. Lake Alexander will be on your right. There is ample free parking available near the lake. Be aware of speed humps within the reserve. There are no parking fees or tolls.
