    From the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre on Tasman Terrace, walk southwest along Tasman Terrace, then turn left onto Flinders Highway. Continue on Flinders Highway for approximately 1.5km. Mill Cottage Museum will be on your right, within Flinders Park. The walk is approximately 20 minutes.

    The Dial-a-Ride bus service operates in Port Lincoln and can be booked for transport to Flinders Park. Contact the service at least 30 minutes prior to your desired departure. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to Flinders Park, a short walk to Mill Cottage Museum. A single fare is approximately $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.

    From the center of Port Lincoln, head north on Lincoln Highway (A1). Take the exit toward Flinders Highway (B100) and follow it for about 2 kilometers. Mill Cottage Museum is located at 10-24 Flinders Hwy, on the left side of the road, within Flinders Park. There is free parking available on-site.

Mill Cottage Museum offers a glimpse into Port Lincoln's past, showcasing the life and times of the Bishop family and early pioneers. Built in 1866 for Joseph Kemp Bishop, the cottage remained in the Bishop family for almost 100 years and is one of Port Lincoln's oldest remaining buildings. The museum features several rooms of exhibits, including the Bishop Family Collection with furniture, clothing, and items brought from England by Captain John Bishop in 1839. Admire the watercolor paintings by Amy Bishop, the last family member to reside in the cottage. The Pioneers and Descendants Club collection displays early Port Lincoln memorabilia. Visitors can also browse a photo kiosk with over 5,000 historic images. The Port Lincoln History Centre is located behind the museum in Settlers Cottage for those interested in historical research. Located in Flinders Park, the museum provides a beautiful setting with lawns, gardens, and picnic areas. The museum is open Wednesdays and Sundays from September to May, offering guided tours by knowledgeable staff.
