Once you reach Whyalla, take the Lincoln Highway (A1) towards Port Augusta. Continue on the A1 for approximately 55 km, then take the exit toward Lochiel. Follow the signs to Lochiel. When you arrive in Lochiel, you will find Pink Lake located at the coordinates 35FM+XQ, Lochiel SA 5510. There is no entry fee to access the lake.

From Port Lincoln, take a bus service to Whyalla. Several companies, such as 'Port Lincoln Coaches', offer routes to Whyalla. Once in Whyalla, you can catch a bus towards Port Augusta. However, please note that public transport options to Lochiel are limited. It is advisable to use rideshare services or taxis from Whyalla to reach Lochiel. This will incur additional costs depending on the service used.

For the adventurous, cycling from Port Lincoln to Lochiel can be an exciting way to see the Eyre Peninsula. The journey is approximately 150 km and can take a full day or two, depending on your cycling speed and resting time. Ensure you are equipped with a good map, plenty of water, and snacks.
