Car
If you're driving from Adelaide, take the South Road (M2) towards the Fleurieu Peninsula. Continue on the M2 until you reach the Victor Harbor Road (B37). Follow the B37 towards Victor Harbor and take the exit for Port Elliot. Once in Port Elliot, follow the signs to the beach area. Sandy Bay is located along the coastline and can be accessed via a short walk from the parking area at the end of the road.

From Adelaide, you can catch a bus to Victor Harbor. The bus departs from the Adelaide Central Bus Station and takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Victor Harbor, transfer to a local bus or taxi to Port Elliot. The local bus service operates regularly, but be sure to check the schedule ahead of time. The bus will drop you off near the beach area, and from there, it's a short walk to Sandy Bay.

If you’re already in Port Elliot and want to walk to Sandy Bay, start from the town center and head towards the coast. Follow the coastal path that leads to Bassham Beach. From Bassham Beach, there is a scenic track that leads to Sandy Bay, which takes about 30 minutes. The walk offers beautiful ocean views, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
