    Walking

    From the Victor Harbor Visitor Information Centre, walk east along the Esplanade towards Granite Island. The causeway is clearly visible and well-signposted. The walk to the start of the causeway takes approximately 5-10 minutes. Walking across the causeway to Granite Island takes another 15 minutes. This is a free and scenic way to access the island.

    Public Transport

    Local LinkSA buses service Victor Harbor and connect to surrounding areas. From the Adelaide Central Bus Station, the LinkSA bus to Victor Harbor costs approximately $27.60. Once in Victor Harbor, the town center and Granite Island are easily accessible by foot from most bus stops. Check the LinkSA website for the most up-to-date timetables and routes.

    Horse-Drawn Tram

    The Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram provides a unique connection to Granite Island. The tram departs from the mainland end of the causeway and travels across to Granite Island. A return ticket costs $15 per adult. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Note that the tram may not operate during strong winds.

    Taxi

    Taxis are available in Victor Harbor. Orcas Taxi Service and Des's Peninsula Taxi Service both operate in the area. A short taxi ride from anywhere in the town center to the Granite Island causeway would cost approximately $10-$15. Taxi ranks are located near the main shopping areas.
