The walk to the start of the causeway takes approximately 5-10 minutes. Walking across the causeway to Granite Island takes another 15 minutes. This is a free and scenic way to access the island.

Local LinkSA buses service Victor Harbor and connect to surrounding areas. From the Adelaide Central Bus Station, the LinkSA bus to Victor Harbor costs approximately $27.60. Horse-Drawn Tram
The Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram provides a unique connection to Granite Island. The tram departs from the mainland end of the causeway and travels across to Granite Island.
