Turn right onto Welch Road. The park is a short distance down Welch Road on the right. Parking is readily available for cars and coaches. Parking is free.

Overview

Urimbirra Wildlife Park, whose name means 'to preserve' or 'to take care of' in an Aboriginal language, is located in Hindmarsh Valley, just five minutes from Victor Harbor. This 16-hectare open-range park provides a unique opportunity to observe and interact with over 400 Australian native animals in a natural setting.Visitors can hand-feed kangaroos and emus, and get up close to koalas during daily patting sessions. The park also features snake handling displays and a nocturnal house where you can observe Australia's night creatures. In addition to native animals, Urimbirra has a children's farmyard with alpacas, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs. The park has a rich indigenous history, with evidence of Aboriginal canoe and shield trees on the site.Urimbirra provides various facilities, including picnic areas with free BBQ facilities, a kiosk, and a gift shop. The park is open every day from 10 am to 4 pm, offering an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages.
