Driving
From Hawker, a common base for exploring the Flinders Ranges, head north on the Flinders Ranges Way (B83) for approximately 21 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating the turn-off to Elder Range Lookout on your right. The lookout is located about 5 kilometers down this unsealed road. Be cautious, as the road may have loose gravel and occasional potholes. There is no entry fee to access the lookout.
Public Transport & Taxi
Take a bus from Adelaide to Hawker. Once in Hawker, hire a taxi or rideshare service to reach Elder Range Lookout, as public transport does not extend to the lookout. The taxi ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting the trip. Taxi fare from Hawker to Elder Range Lookout is approximately $60-$80 AUD.
