If you are driving, start from the nearest major town, Hawker, located approximately 30 minutes away. Take the Flinders Ranges Way (B83) heading north. After about 10 kilometers, turn left onto Appealinna Road. Continue on Appealinna Road for about 20 kilometers until you reach Wills Historic Homestead, located on the right side of the road. There is no entry fee required to visit the homestead.

Public transport options are limited in the Flinders Ranges. However, you can take a bus from Adelaide to Hawker with several services available. Once in Hawker, you will need to arrange a taxi or a rideshare service to reach Wills Historic Homestead. The taxi ride from Hawker to the homestead will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around AUD 50-70 depending on the service.

For the more adventurous, biking from Hawker is an option. Rent a bicycle in Hawker and take the Flinders Ranges Way (B83) north.
