Getting There

  • Driving

    From Bundaberg, follow Barolin Street, which becomes Goodwood Road, and travel approximately 57km to Woodgate Beach township. From Childers, take Goodwood Road 36km east to Woodgate Beach. Once in Woodgate, follow the signs to the various sections of the national park. Note that access to the Burrum Point and Kinkuna camping areas requires a high-clearance 4WD vehicle. There are no unavoidable tolls.

  • Public Transport

    While there are no direct public transport options to the park itself, you can take a train or bus to Howard from Brisbane. From Howard, you would need to arrange for a taxi or private transfer to Woodgate, which is approximately 30 minutes away. A taxi from Howard to Woodgate would cost approximately $100-$150. Keep in mind that public transport options within Woodgate are limited. The Woodgate Community Bus offers scheduled trips to nearby towns.

  • Taxi

    From Bundaberg Airport (BDB), a taxi to Burrum Coast National Park (Woodgate section) will take approximately 45 minutes and cost between $230-$280. There are no taxi services directly in Woodgate, so pre-booking from Bundaberg is essential. Uber is available in Woodgate, but pre-booking is still recommended.
