From Hervey Bay, take the ferry from River Heads to Fraser Island, which costs approximately AUD 150 for a vehicle and passengers. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once on the island, follow the signs to Eurong Rd. Continue on Eurong Rd, and you will reach the Fraser Island Recreation Area located at approximately -25.4749785 latitude and 153.0599617 longitude. The area is well-marked, and you can expect to find parking available.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Brisbane or other nearby cities to Hervey Bay. Once in Hervey Bay, you can catch a shuttle service to River Heads where the ferry terminal is located. The shuttle service typically costs around AUD 25.
