    Metung Hot Springs is located at 73 Storth Ryes Ave, Metung VIC 3904. From the center of Metung, follow Metung Rd, then turn onto Storth Ryes Ave. The hot springs will be on your left. Parking is available on-site. Parking availability may be limited during peak times.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Metung Hot Springs via public transport, take the bus to Swan Reach Gardens/Princes Hwy (Swan Reach). From there, it's approximately 7.4 km to Metung Hot Springs, consider a taxi or rideshare service to complete the journey. A taxi from Swan Reach to Metung Hot Springs will cost approximately $25-$35.

Metung Hot Springs is a wellness destination set on a naturally undulating site overlooking the magnificent Gippsland Lakes in Victoria's East Gippsland region. The hot springs offer visitors a chance to rejuvenate and connect with nature through geothermal bathing and wellness activities.In the 1920s, miners accidentally discovered geothermal water in Metung, sparking a tradition of hot springs bathing. The original pools closed in the mid-1990s due to maintenance issues, but the allure of the natural springs remained. In November 2022, Metung Hot Springs opened to the public. The 25-acre site features geothermal hot spring pools of varying depths, bathing barrels with picturesque cliff top views of Lake King, massaging thermal showers, a reflexology walk, and nature walks around the grounds. The must-indulge feature is the Hilltop escarpment, a tranquil communal bathing experience with a stargazing pool and individual bathing barrels offering spectacular views.Beyond bathing, Metung Hot Springs offers a day spa, glamping accommodation, and The Clubhouse restaurant. The Metung Country Club, with its 9-hole golf course, is also nearby. The hot springs are designed to complement the natural environment, with ongoing efforts to restore the landscape and use local materials.
