Walking
If you're in Main Beach, head towards the Gold Coast Highway (also known as State Route 2). Walk south along the highway until you reach the intersection with Ferny Avenue. Cross over the highway at the pedestrian crossing to Ferny Avenue, then continue walking straight. After approximately 500 meters, you will reach the entrance to Budds Beach, which is located just off the riverbank. The beach is a popular spot for swimming and relaxing, so take your time enjoying the views.
Public Transport - Bus
You can also take a bus from Main Beach to Surfers Paradise. Look for the nearest bus stop along the Gold Coast Highway (Route 700 or 705). Board the bus heading towards Surfers Paradise. The fare is approximately AUD 4.00 for a single journey. Once you get off at the 'Surfers Paradise' stop, walk towards the river and follow the pathway along the water. Budds Beach is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Ride-sharing
If you prefer a more direct option, consider using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Ola. Simply request a ride to 'Budds Beach, Surfers Paradise' from your location in Main Beach. The fare can vary, but expect to pay around AUD 10-15 for this short trip. The driver will drop you off close to the beach entrance.
