Getting There
Walking
From the heart of Surfers Paradise, head towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, walk north along the Esplanade for approximately 10-15 minutes. You'll pass several cafes and shops. Keep an eye out for the large Gold Coast sign on your left as you approach the northern end of the beachfront. After reaching the end of the Esplanade, turn left onto Ferny Avenue and continue walking for about 5-10 minutes. You'll cross the bridge that leads to Chevron Island, which will be visible on your right.
Public Transport
From any central location in Surfers Paradise, head to the nearest tram station on the Gold Coast Light Rail (G:link) line. Board a tram heading south towards Broadbeach. Get off at the 'Surfers Paradise North' stop. From there, walk towards the intersection of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Ferny Avenue. Turn left onto Ferny Avenue and continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Chevron Island.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start at any bike rental station in Surfers Paradise. Head north along the beachfront path, enjoying the sea views. After about 10-15 minutes, keep right and follow the markers towards Ferny Avenue. Bike across the bridge towards Chevron Island, which will become visible to your right. The ride is pleasant and allows you to see some of the beautiful scenery along the way.
