From Bright, take the Great Alpine Road (B500) heading northwest towards Harrietville. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach Harrietville. Continue on the B500 for about 45 km until you reach the junction with the Mount Hotham Road (C545). Turn left onto Mount Hotham Road and follow the signs towards Mount Hotham. The drive is scenic, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. Once you reach Mount Hotham, follow the signs to Razorback Lookout, which is a short drive from the main resort area. Keep an eye out for parking areas as you approach the lookout. Total travel time from Bright is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and weather conditions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first check the V/Line bus schedules from Melbourne to Bright, which is the nearest bus stop to Razorback Lookout. Once you arrive in Bright, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Razorback Lookout, as public transport options are limited in the area. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around AUD 50-70. Make sure to pre-arrange your return transport, as it may be difficult to secure a taxi in the more remote areas.
