If you're driving to MacKenzie Falls from the town of Halls Gap, head northwest on Grampians Road for about 5 kilometers. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Northern Grampians Road. Continue on this road for approximately 7 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you to MacKenzie Falls. The parking area is located near the falls. Note that there is a parking fee of around AUD 7 for a day pass.
Public Transport
To reach MacKenzie Falls using public transport, start by taking a bus from Halls Gap to Stawell. From Stawell, you can catch a bus service to the Grampians National Park. However, bus schedules may vary, so it’s important to check the local timetables ahead of time. Once you arrive at the Grampians National Park, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to reach MacKenzie Falls. Be prepared for a moderate hike along the walking trails.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Halls Gap and ride to MacKenzie Falls. Follow Grampians Road heading northwest for about 5 kilometers, then take Northern Grampians Road. This route provides beautiful scenery but be cautious of traffic, especially on weekends when it can get busy. The cycling distance is approximately 12 kilometers one way, and it may take around 1-2 hours depending on your pace.
