Discover more about Home Hill Winery

Home Hill Winery, a family-owned vineyard established in 1992, is located in the picturesque Huon Valley, a 30-minute drive south of Hobart. Terry and Rosemary Bennett began with just 4 hectares of vines, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and the rare Sylvaner variety. What started as a hobby has grown into a 12-hectare vineyard with an architecturally designed rammed earth restaurant and cellar door. The winery is known for its award-winning cool climate wines, particularly its Pinot Noir, which won the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy in 2015. Visitors can enjoy guided tastings at the cellar door, which offers stunning views of the manicured vineyards and surrounding countryside. The on-site restaurant, open Thursday to Monday, features a menu highlighting fresh, locally sourced produce, including oysters, Huon salmon, and apple desserts. Home Hill offers a tranquil retreat where guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of the Huon Valley. The winery also provides a charming 1920s cottage for accommodation.
