Getting there

Car

If you're driving, start from the center of Hobart and take the Southern Outlet (A6) heading towards Mount Wellington. Continue on the A6 for about 14 kilometers until you reach the junction with Huon Road. Turn left onto Huon Road (B64) and follow it for about 2 kilometers. Look for the entrance to the Fern Tree area on your right, where you'll find the Pipeline Track. There is parking available nearby, but it can fill up quickly on weekends, so arrive early.

Public Transportation

To reach Wishing Well via public transport, take the Metro Tasmania bus service from Hobart. Board the bus at the Franklin Square Bus Station and look for the bus number that heads towards Fern Tree. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Fern Tree stop and walk towards the Pipeline Track, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs for Pipeline Track, and you will reach Wishing Well.

Walking from Fern Tree

Once you are at the Fern Tree area, if you prefer to walk, take the Pipeline Track Trail. It's a scenic 1.5-kilometer walk that will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear as the track can be uneven in places.
