Car
From Wollongong, take the M1 Princes Motorway heading south. Continue on the M1 for about 30 km, then take the exit toward Berry. Follow the signs to Berry and turn onto the South Coast Highway (A1). After about 13 km, turn right onto Kangaroo Valley Road (B73). Follow this road for approximately 20 km, and then turn onto Upper Kangaroo Valley Road. Continue straight for about 5 km until you reach the Gerringong Falls car park. Note: Parking may be limited, and there are no fees associated with parking.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Wollongong Station to Berry Station (approximately 30 minutes). From Berry Station, you can catch a local bus (Route 739) to Upper Kangaroo Valley. This bus runs infrequently, so check the schedule ahead of time. Upon arriving at Upper Kangaroo Valley, it's about a 5 km walk to Gerringong Falls. Ensure that you have a map or GPS to navigate the walking route, as it may not be well-marked. Be prepared for a moderate hike to the falls.
Walking
If you are already in the Upper Kangaroo Valley area, you can walk to Gerringong Falls. Start from the Upper Kangaroo Valley Road and follow the trail signs leading you towards the falls. The hike is about 5 km one way, and it can take around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the falls depending on your pace. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as the trail can be steep and uneven.
