If you are traveling by car, start from Mount Gambier, which is approximately 20 minutes away from Hells Hole. Head south on the Riddoch Highway/A66, continuing for about 14 km. Turn right onto Punt Road and follow it for approximately 6 km until you reach Hells Hole. There is no entry fee to access the park, but ensure your vehicle has enough fuel for the round trip.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, take a bus from Mount Gambier to Caveton. The bus service may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Caveton, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the remaining 5 km to Hells Hole as public transport does not go directly to the site. Be prepared for potential taxi fares that may vary based on the provider.
Walking
For the adventurous, if you're already in Caveton, you can walk to Hells Hole. From the center of Caveton, head south on Punt Road. It's about a 5 km walk and will take approximately an hour. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, as there are no services along the route.
