If you are travelling by car, start your journey from Mount Gambier. Head east on the Princes Highway (A1) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Glenelg Highway (B101). Turn left onto Glenelg Highway and continue for approximately 35 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Myora Forest Reserve, which will be on your left. The reserve is located at Glenelg Hwy, Mumbannar SA 5291. There is no entry fee for the forest reserve.
Public Transportation
If using public transportation, begin your journey at the Mount Gambier bus station. Take a bus that heads towards Mumbannar. Depending on the bus service, you may need to check schedules, as there may not be direct services. Once you arrive in Mumbannar, you can either walk or take a taxi to Myora Forest Reserve, which is about 5 kilometers from the town center. It is advisable to book a taxi in advance since public transport services may be limited.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike to Myora Forest Reserve from Mount Gambier. Follow the same route as the car directions via Princes Highway (A1) and then onto Glenelg Highway (B101). Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all road safety regulations. The total distance is about 65 kilometers, so it is recommended for experienced cyclists. Bring water and snacks for the journey.
