    Walking

    If you're already in Beachport, walking to Post Office Rock is a great option. Start from the Beachport Jetty and head south along the coastal path. The walk is approximately 3 km and takes about 35-45 minutes. Follow the signs leading to Post Office Rock, enjoying the scenic coastal views along the way. There is no cost for walking.

    Car

    If driving from within the Limestone Coast region, head towards Beachport. From Mount Gambier, take the Princes Highway (A1) southeast. Turn left onto Beachport Road (B100) and follow it for about 30 km until you reach Beachport. Continue onto Beach Road, which leads directly to the Post Office Rock area. There is no entry fee or parking charge. Parking is available near Wooley Rock.

    Public Transport

    To reach Post Office Rock via public transport, take a bus from Adelaide to Beachport. Stateliner operates a bus service three times a week, with tickets costing $60 - $90 and the journey taking around 5h 37m. Once in Beachport, walk approximately 1.5 km to Post Office Rock. Follow Beach Road towards the coast, then turn right onto the beach access path at the end of Beach Road. The scenic spot is located along the beach.

Situated on the Bowman Scenic Drive, about 2km past Salmon Hole, it separates Salmon Hole from Post Office Beach. The rock formation provides a unique vantage point to watch waves crash against the rocky shoreline, especially mesmerizing during sunset. Constructed in 1973, the Bowman Scenic Drive was named after Councillor Albert Bowman to recognize his 20 years of service as the Councillor of Beachport Ward. The 8km drive offers spectacular vistas of sand dunes, beaches, and limestone cliffs. Post Office Rock is known for its tranquil atmosphere, inviting visitors to stroll along the coastline, explore walking trails, or simply enjoy the ocean's sounds. Nature lovers can appreciate the diverse marine life and opportunities for photography and wildlife observation. The rock's history includes a makeshift postbox, adding to its charm. The area is well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and peaceful environment. Significant foreshore erosion has occurred adjacent to Post Office Rock since the late 1990s. Management actions have been taken, including rebuilding a groyne with larger rocks in 2007, to combat the erosion.
