Yallum Park, located 8km west of Penola on the Millicent Road, stands as one of Australia's best-preserved Victorian houses. Built for Scottish pastoralist and politician John Riddoch between 1878 and 1880, the two-story homestead exudes the opulence of the era. Inside, visitors are transported to the late 19th century with original wallpapers, gasoliers, acid-etched and stained-glass windows, and Italian marble mantle pieces. The house boasts 15-foot high ceilings and gold leaf cornices, complemented by antique furniture and collections of glass, porcelain, silver, and brass. The decorations remain as they were in 1879.
