Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Alice Springs town center, head north on Todd Street, which becomes Anzac Hill Road. The walk is approximately 2 km and takes about 30-40 minutes uphill. Alternatively, take the Lions Walk from Wills Terrace, opposite the Catholic Church, a moderate 15-minute climb. No costs involved.

  • Public Transport

    Take a local bus from the Alice Springs Bus Interchange towards the ANZAC Hill area. Alight at the nearest bus stop on Anzac Hill Road, and walk uphill to the lookout. Bus services operate Monday to Saturday. As of July 1, 2025, all public bus services are free.

  • Taxi/Ride-share

    Taxis are available from the taxi rank on the corner of Todd Street and Gregory Terrace, near the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre. A short taxi ride from the town center to ANZAC Hill will cost approximately $15-$25 AUD. Ride-share services are also available.

  • Driving

    From the town center, take the Stuart Highway (National Route 87) and follow it until the intersection with Anzac Hill Road. Turn onto Anzac Hill Road and continue to the ANZAC Hill lookout. Free parking is available near the top, but it can be busy during peak tourist seasons.
