Car
If you're starting from Alice Springs, take the Lasseter Highway (Highway 87) heading west. After about 130 kilometers, turn onto the Namatjira Drive towards Glen Helen. Follow this road for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the Glen Helen Resort. From there, continue for another 10 kilometers until you see a sign for the Glen Helen Organ Pipes. There is a parking area available for visitors. Please note that a park entry fee may apply.
Public Transport
To reach Glen Helen Organ Pipes via public transport, you can take a bus from Alice Springs to Glen Helen Resort. The bus service is operated by the local transport companies, and it’s advisable to check the schedule in advance as services may not be frequent. Once you arrive at Glen Helen Resort, you will need to arrange for a taxi or shuttle service to take you to the Organ Pipes, which is about 10 kilometers away. Make sure to confirm the cost with your taxi driver before starting your trip.
Walking/Hiking
If you are already in the Glen Helen area and prefer to hike, there are trails leading to the Glen Helen Organ Pipes from the Glen Helen Resort. The hike is approximately 10 kilometers one way and can take around 2-3 hours depending on your fitness level.
