If you are driving, start from Nelly Bay, where the ferry terminal is located. Head out of Nelly Bay towards the main road (Horseshoe Bay Road). Follow this road for approximately 7 minutes (5.5 km). Keep an eye out for the signs indicating The Forts. Once you reach Horseshoe Bay, look for the parking area where you can safely leave your car. From the parking area, you will need to walk to the entry point of The Forts walking trail.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer public transport, you can take the local bus service from Nelly Bay to Horseshoe Bay. The bus generally runs every hour. Once you board, tell the driver you are going to Horseshoe Bay. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes. When you arrive at Horseshoe Bay, disembark at the main stop near the beach area. From there, you will need to walk to the trailhead for The Forts, which is clearly marked.

If you are already in the Horseshoe Bay area, you can walk to The Forts trailhead. From the Horseshoe Bay beach, head towards the Horseshoe Bay Road and follow the signs for The Forts. The walk to the trailhead is approximately 1 km and will take about 15 minutes. Once you reach the trailhead, you can begin your hike up to The Forts.
