Public Transport
Start from the Melbourne CBD. Head to the Flinders Street Station and catch a train on the Belgrave Line towards Belgrave. The train ride takes approximately 50 minutes. Disembark at the Upper Ferntree Gully Station. Once you arrive at Upper Ferntree Gully, exit the station and head north on Underwood Road. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Mount Dandenong Tourist Road. You will arrive at the Dandenong Ranges National Park (Ferntree Gully Area) within approximately 20 minutes on foot.

Bus
From the Melbourne CBD, you can take the Route 688 bus from the Southern Cross Station to Upper Ferntree Gully. The bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Upper Ferntree Gully, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Dandenong Ranges National Park (Ferntree Gully Area). The park is approximately 3 kilometers from the bus stop, which is about a 30-minute walk along Mount Dandenong Tourist Road.

Combination of Train and Bus
Take the train from Flinders Street Station on the Belgrave Line to Belgrave Station, which takes about 1 hour. From Belgrave Station, catch the bus number 663 towards Upper Ferntree Gully. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop closest to the park entrance on Mount Dandenong Tourist Road.
