Train
If you are starting from the Melbourne city center, head to Flinders Street Station. Board a train on the Cranbourne, Pakenham, or Sandringham line heading towards Richmond Station. The journey takes about 5-10 minutes. Once you arrive at Richmond Station, exit the station and turn right onto Swan Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Brunton Avenue. Turn left onto Brunton Avenue, and the Melbourne Cricket Ground will be on your right.
Tram
From the city center, catch tram number 70 or 75 from any city tram stop heading towards the eastern suburbs. Get off at the stop named 'Swan Street' and walk towards the intersection with Brunton Avenue. Turn right onto Brunton Avenue, and the Melbourne Cricket Ground will be a short walk ahead on your right.
Bus
If you are near the city center, find a nearby bus stop for routes 246, 248, or 609. Board the bus heading towards Richmond. Alight at the stop closest to the Richmond train station. From there, walk along Swan Street, then turn left onto Brunton Avenue. The Melbourne Cricket Ground will be on your right side.
Walking
If you are already in the Richmond area, you can easily walk to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Locate yourself on Swan Street, and walk towards Brunton Avenue. Turn left onto Brunton Avenue, and continue walking straight for a few minutes. The Melbourne Cricket Ground will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, you can ride from the city center to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Follow the Yarra River bike path south, then cross over to the other side at one of the bridges. Follow the path to Richmond, and then navigate to Brunton Avenue, where the ground is located. There are bike racks available for parking your bike.
