Getting There

  • Tram

    From the Melbourne CBD, head to the nearest tram stop. Take tram number 58 towards 'Open Range Zoo' or tram number 59 towards 'City - Airport'. Disembark at the stop 'Royal Park' (Stop 13). From there, walk approximately 10 minutes north along Royal Parade. The Melbourne Zoo entrance will be on your right at Elliott Ave.

  • Train

    Make your way to the nearest train station and take a train on the Craigieburn line or Upfield line. Alight at 'Royal Park' station. Upon exiting the station, turn left and follow the path through Royal Park for about 15 minutes. The Melbourne Zoo will be located at the end of the path on your right at Elliott Ave.

  • Bus

    If you are near a bus stop, look for bus routes 505 or 506. Board the bus and alight at the 'Zoo' stop. From there, it is a short walk of about 5 minutes to the entrance of Melbourne Zoo located on Elliott Ave.
