Train
To get to Mornington from Melbourne, start by heading to Flinders Street Station in the city center. Purchase a ticket for the train to Frankston. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride until you reach Frankston station. Upon arrival at Frankston, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located next to the station. Here, catch the 781 bus towards Mornington. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes until you reach the Mornington Main Street stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Schnapper Point Drive, where you can enjoy the beautiful views.
Bus
If you prefer to travel directly by bus, you can take the 788 bus from the city. Start at Southern Cross Station and find the bus terminal at the station. Board the 788 bus towards Mornington. This bus will take you through the suburbs and drop you off on Main Street in Mornington. Once you get off, walk towards Schnapper Point Drive, which is only about 10-15 minutes away on foot.
Tram and Bus
You can also take a tram to reach Mornington. Catch the Tram 1 from any of the tram stops in the city towards South Melbourne Beach. Get off at the stop on St Kilda Road and transfer to the 600 bus towards Frankston. Get off at the Frankston station and switch to the 781 bus to Mornington. After approximately 25 minutes on the 781, get off at the Mornington Main Street stop, and walk to Schnapper Point Drive, which is a short distance away.
