If you are in the Melbourne CBD, head to any tram stop and catch the Route 96 Tram towards St Kilda. Stay on the tram for about 25 minutes until you reach the stop at 'St Kilda Junction'. From there, transfer to the Route 16 Tram towards Kew. After just 2 stops, get off at 'Carlisle Street' and walk down Carlisle Street until you reach Herbert Street. Turn left onto Herbert Street, and you will find the St Kilda Botanical Gardens on your right.
Bike
For a more active route, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in Melbourne. Head down St Kilda Road, following the bike lane. Continue straight for about 4 km until you reach the intersection with Herbert Street. Turn right onto Herbert Street, and the St Kilda Botanical Gardens will be on your left. This ride takes around 20-30 minutes depending on your speed.
Bus
From the CBD, you can catch the Bus Route 246 from 'Southern Cross Station' towards Elsternwick. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the 'St Kilda Botanical Gardens' stop. The gardens will be just a short walk from the bus stop, directly across the street.
Walk
If you are staying nearby in St Kilda, you can enjoy a lovely walk to the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Simply navigate towards the waterfront and walk along the foreshore promenade, enjoying the views. Once you reach the St Kilda Marina, head inland towards Herbert Street. The gardens are located at 11 Herbert Street.
