Walking
If you are in the heart of Fitzroy, head east on Brunswick Street toward the intersection with Victoria Parade. Turn left onto Victoria Parade and walk straight for approximately 1 kilometer. After crossing the intersection with Wellington Parade, you will see the entrance to Fitzroy Gardens on your right. Enter the gardens and follow the walking paths to reach Cooks' Cottage, which is located near the eastern side of the gardens.
Public Transport (Tram)
From Fitzroy, head to the nearest tram stop on Smith Street. Take Tram 86 towards Waterfront City Docklands. After a few stops, get off at the stop called 'Jolimont'. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk: head through the park towards Wellington Parade, and you will find Fitzroy Gardens. Cooks' Cottage is situated within the gardens. Note that a single tram ticket costs around AUD 4.40.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services in Fitzroy. Head east on Johnston Street, then turn onto Wellington Parade. Continue south until you reach Fitzroy Gardens. There are bike racks available near the entrance. Make sure to check for any rental fees, which typically start at around AUD 5 for the first hour.
