Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are in central St Kilda, make your way towards the St Kilda Beach. Depending on your exact location, you can follow local streets towards the coast, but aim for the intersection of Acland Street and Jacka Boulevard. Once you reach Jacka Boulevard, head left (south) towards the beach. Catani Archway will be on your right along Jacka Boulevard, just before you reach the beach, near the entrance to the St Kilda Foreshore.
Tram
If you're further away from the beach, you can take the tram. Catch the Route 96 or Route 16 tram from any of the major stops in St Kilda. Board the tram heading towards St Kilda Beach and get off at the stop at 'St Kilda Junction'. From there, walk down Fitzroy Street towards the beach, then turn left onto Jacka Boulevard. Catani Archway will be directly in front of you as you approach the beach. Note that tram rides cost around AUD 4.60 for a single journey.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from local rental shops or use bike-sharing services available in St Kilda. Head towards the St Kilda Foreshore via the dedicated bike path along the beach. Follow the bike path along the water until you reach Catani Archway. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of pedestrians along the path.
Use Catani Archway as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
