If you are in the heart of St Kilda, you can easily walk to the Victoria Cross Monument located at 9 Alfred Square. From St Kilda Beach, head north on The Esplanade towards Acland Street. Turn left onto Acland Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Barkly Street. Turn right onto Barkly Street and follow it until you reach Alfred Square. The monument is situated at the northern end of the square, easily visible.

For those who prefer public transport, take Tram 96 or 16 from St Kilda Junction. Board the tram at any stop along St Kilda Road heading towards the city. Get off at the stop 'Acland Street - St Kilda' and then walk north on Acland Street until you reach Barkly Street. Turn right onto Barkly Street, and shortly after, turn left into Alfred Square. The Victoria Cross Monument will be at 9 Alfred Square. Note that a single tram ticket costs around AUD 4.50 for a two-hour period.
