The OT Dam, located in Arthurs Seat State Park near Dromana, Victoria, offers a peaceful retreat into nature and a glimpse into local history. Constructed in 1934 by the OT Cordial Company (later known as Kia Ora Cordials), the dam was originally built to supply water for the company's crops. Local workers used horse-drawn scoops to build the dam's wall. The company produced a cordial called OT, flavored with chilies. Due to manpower shortages during the war, the business closed in the early 1940s.
The OT Dam Circuit Walk is a 3km loop that takes approximately 2 hours to complete. The trail winds through a deep gully surrounded by native eucalyptus forests. The well-maintained track includes some hills and a boardwalk that encircles the dam. The walk is considered moderately difficult.
Visitors can access the OT Dam from Arthurs Seat Road near Main Creek Road. Another access point is from the Hillview Community Reserve on Boundary Road in Dromana. The circuit walk offers views of the dam and the surrounding bushland.

The most direct way to reach the OT Dam trailhead is by car. From Dromana, head south on Arthurs Seat Road. Continue along Arthurs Seat Road until you reach the parking area near Main Creek Road. Parking is free. From the car park, the OT Dam Circuit Walk is well signposted.
Public Transport
To reach the OT Dam using public transport, take bus route 781 or 788 to Dromana. From Dromana, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the trailhead on Arthurs Seat Road, as there is no direct bus service to the dam. A taxi or rideshare from Dromana to the trailhead will cost approximately $15-$25.
