From the Mount Augustus National Park visitor center, head south on the Burringurrah Road (also known as Mount Augustus Road) towards the junction with the Great Northern Highway. This is about a 10-minute drive. Once you reach the Great Northern Highway, turn right (north) and continue for approximately 200 kilometers until you reach the town of Carnarvon. From there, take the Carnarvon-Mullewa Road heading north for about 100 kilometers until you reach the town of Gascoyne Junction. Continue northeast on the Gascoyne Junction - Mount Augustus Road for approximately 70 kilometers. At this point, you will be directed towards Badu Island, where Aleo Island is located. Be prepared for a long drive, and ensure you have enough fuel and supplies.

To use public transportation, you can start your journey from Mount Augustus National Park by taking a bus or shuttle service to Carnarvon. From Carnarvon, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a ride-share service to take you to the Gascoyne Junction.
