Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the main area in Mount Kosciuszko. Head south on the Alpine Way towards Thredbo Village. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach Thredbo Village. Once in the village, look for the signs directing you to the Thredbo River Track, which is easily accessible from the village center. There is no specific parking at the start of the track, but you can find parking in designated areas throughout Thredbo Village. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared to pay for parking.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, check for bus services that operate from Jindabyne to Thredbo. Once you arrive in Thredbo Village, you can walk to the Thredbo River Track, which is located just off the main street in Thredbo. The walk from the village center to the track entrance takes about 10-15 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may have limited availability, especially during off-peak seasons.
