If you are driving from the city center of Hobart, take the Southern Outlet (A6) heading south. Continue on the A6 for approximately 10 kilometers. Take the exit towards Huonville (B66) and merge onto Davey Street. After about 3 kilometers, turn left onto Ridgeway Road. Follow Ridgeway Road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Waterworks Reserve, which will be on your left. There is free parking available at the reserve.

To reach Waterworks Reserve via public transport, you can take the Metro bus service. From the Hobart city center, catch the bus number 711 or 713 at the Elizabeth Street Bus Mall. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop named 'Waterworks Reserve' on Ridgeway Road. From there, it's a short walk into the reserve. A single bus ticket costs around AUD 3.50.
