From Noosa Heads, head to the nearest bus stop on Hastings Street. Take the bus towards Cooran. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. You need to get off at the stop closest to 526 Tablelands Rd in Cooran. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the James M McKane Memorial Lookout. Head north on Tablelands Rd until you reach the lookout.

If you're renting a bicycle in Noosa, start from the Noosa Main Beach area. Head towards Noosa National Park and follow the bike paths. Continue to follow the signs towards Cooran, which is about 12 km away. Once you reach Cooran, look for Tablelands Rd and head towards 526 Tablelands Rd. The lookout will be a short distance ahead.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk from Noosa Heads, head towards the Noosa River and follow the scenic pathways to the Noosa National Park. It is quite a long walk, approximately 14 km, so be prepared with water and snacks. Once through the park, make your way to Cooran via the nearest walking paths. Look for Tablelands Rd and follow it to reach the James M McKane Memorial Lookout.
