If you're starting from Noosa Heads, make your way to the Noosa Junction bus stop. Catch the Sunshine Coast Bus (Route 632) heading towards Cooroy. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes, and get off at the Lake Macdonald stop. From there, it's just a short 5-minute walk to Lake MacDonald. Follow the pathway down to the lake, and you'll be greeted by beautiful views!

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from a local shop in Noosa Heads. Head towards Noosa National Park on Park Road, then follow the pathway leading to the Noosa River. Continue along the river until you reach the Noosa-Cooroy Road. Follow this road for about 5 km until you reach Lake MacDonald. There are bike paths available, making it a scenic ride!

For the adventurous, you can walk to Lake MacDonald from Noosa Heads. Start at Hastings Street and walk towards Noosa National Park. Continue along the coastal path until you reach the Noosa River. Follow the river west until you reach the Noosa-Cooroy Road, then walk along this road for approximately 5 km until you arrive at Lake MacDonald. This walk can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
