Explore the Scenic Mountain St & Mt Cooroora Hiking Trail in Pomona

Getting There

• Bus

  From Noosa Heads, walk to the Noosa Junction bus stop located on Noosa Drive. Take the bus number 626 towards Cooroy. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the Pomona stop. Once you arrive in Pomona, walk along Station Street until you reach Mountain Street. The Mountain St & Mt Cooroora Hiking Trail is located at the intersection of Mountain St and Mt Cooroora. It's a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Noosa Heads to Pomona. Start on the Noosa River foreshore and follow the bike path towards Gympie Terrace. Continue on the path until you reach the Noosa Parade. Follow Noosa Parade until you reach the Eumundi-Noosa Road. Take a left onto Eumundi-Noosa Road, which will lead you to Pomona. Once in Pomona, navigate to the intersection of Mountain St and Mt Cooroora, where the hiking trail begins.

• Walking

  For the more adventurous, you can walk from Noosa Heads to Pomona, but it's a long trek. Begin your walk along the Noosa River foreshore towards the Noosa Junction. From there, follow the signs towards Eumundi-Noosa Road. This route will take you through some beautiful scenery. Once you reach Pomona, navigate to Mountain Street, and you'll find the Mountain St & Mt Cooroora Hiking Trail at the intersection with Mt Cooroora.
