Car
If you're traveling by car, navigate to Frome Rd, Adelaide SA 5000. From North East South Australia, take the Main North Road (A20) heading south. Continue on A20 until you reach the intersection with the North East Road (A16). Turn right onto North East Road, which will merge into the Adelaide city area. Follow the road signs indicating the city center. Turn left onto Frome Rd once you’re close to the city center. The Adelaide Zoo will be on your left. Parking is available nearby, but there may be a fee depending on the location.

Public Transportation - Bus
To reach the Adelaide Zoo via public transport, first find your nearest bus stop. You can take the 99C or 100 bus routes towards the city. Get off at the bus stop on North Terrace near the Adelaide Botanic Garden. From there, it’s a short walk: head east on North Terrace, then turn left onto Frome Rd. The zoo entrance will be on your right. A standard fare for the bus is approximately AUD 3.40 for adults, and you may purchase a MetroCARD or use a contactless payment method.

If you prefer taking the tram, you can catch the tram from the Adelaide city center. Board the tram at any stop along King William Street heading towards Glenelg. Get off at the stop at the Adelaide Railway Station and transfer to the free city loop tram. Take the tram heading towards the Botanic Garden. Once you reach the Botanic Garden tram stop, it’s just a short walk to the Adelaide Zoo. The zoo entrance is located on Frome Rd. Tram rides in the city center are free, making this a cost-effective way to reach your destination.
