Bus
From the Adelaide city center, walk to the bus stop located at Currie St, stop 2. Take the bus number 5 or 25 towards the Adelaide Zoo. The bus will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Disembark at the stop on Hackney Rd near the Adelaide Botanic Garden. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the State Herbarium, located at Hackney Rd, Adelaide SA 5000. Simply head east towards the Botanic Garden and follow the signs to the Herbarium.
Tram
Head to the nearest tram stop, which is located at the end of King William St. Board the tram heading towards Glenelg (the tram is free within the city center). Get off at the stop called 'Victoria Square'. From there, transfer to the bus number 5 or 25 and continue as described above, disembarking at the stop on Hackney Rd near the Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Walking
If you are within a reasonable walking distance in the city center, you can reach the State Herbarium by walking. Take King William Rd from Victoria Square, then turn left onto Hackney Rd. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the State Herbarium on your right side as you approach Hackney Rd. This walk should take around 20-25 minutes.
