Originally part of the 'Big Scrub,' a vast subtropical rainforest, Broken Head now contains many of the tree species that once thrived in the area.Visitors can explore the reserve through a network of walking tracks, including the popular Three Sisters Walking Track, which offers stunning views of the coastline and the iconic Three Sisters rock formation. According to Aboriginal Dreamtime stories, the rocks represent two sisters who drowned in the strong currents, serving as a warning to children.
