Getting there

Car

If you're driving, start from Grafton, which is a central location in Northern Rivers. Head south on the Pacific Highway (A1). After approximately 45 kilometers, take the exit towards Yamba. Continue on Yamba Road for about 10 kilometers until you reach Yamba. From Yamba, turn onto Coldstream Street, then follow the signs to Yamba Lighthouse. Proceed along Lighthouse Road until you reach the end of the road, where you'll find parking available. From the parking area, it's a short 1.2 km hike along Shelley Track N to reach Durrangan Lookout. The hike is relatively easy, and you can enjoy beautiful views along the way. Note: Parking is free.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Grafton to Yamba. NSW TrainLink operates services that connect Grafton to Yamba. Once in Yamba, you can use a local taxi service or rideshare app to reach the Yamba Lighthouse area. From there, follow the same walking route along Shelley Track N, which is approximately a 1.2 km hike to Durrangan Lookout. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may not run frequently.
